"I can, with one eye squinted, take it all as a blessing." - Flannery O'Connor
Hi Peeps

Just so you know, I have the option turned on that records my 'guests'. Now, personally, I don't give a shit what side of the HP spectrum you're on, but if you're going to link to journals I've commented on, then I'd like to give you a little head's up that I'm aware of your link, again not that I give a shit because I'm not interested in your tedious sniping, but just so you know I know. I don't post on CoS, you don't know me from Adam, but thanks for stopping by.

And, btw, I doubt very much if you do know the person about whom I was commenting. Just sayin'.

Slow reaction here....but I guess that gave me time to develop the eye-rolling muscles.

I check out my "guests" list, too--it's kind of entertaining: there's one person who visits regularly--she has (mis)used quotes from me before and obviously thinks I'm a horrible, stupid person. Yet she keeps reading my LJ.

I'm not really surprised....Back in the old days on CoS, there was a whole pile of nutters who ranted about how the posters on the DevSev thread were obsessed with Snape and thought he was the main character and spent all their time talking about Snape.....Er--DUH: it was a Snape thread and we were on topic.................*eye rolls so fast that I hear whirling*

And, of course, the same nutters spent inrodinate time on the Snape thread pitching huge, somewhat impressive hissy fits about Snape and the DevSev posters. Apparently, this consumed most of their waking hours.

*eye rolls done broke*

Guess some things don't really change. *waves at nutters monitoring the Snape fans*

That would probably be the same person who visited my journal. I hope it was an edifying visit - this is a mishmosh of my interests, not a hotbed of fodder. I did have a sockpuppet post some inane nonsense with Snape thrown in, and that's happened before, but I just delete as spam and that's that. I'm not wasting one moment of my time on that particular group and their obsessive batshittery.

Which makes me wonder - when did these people stop discussing the series and begin discussing the people who discuss the series? And why is it so important to them to evangelize their view that Snape was teh evol so that they troll LJ, CoS and HPN looking to discuss the posters? I don't get it. I thought by the end of DH, Snape's character would have been abundantly clear, if they missed the clues before.

Be that as it may, I should think anyone with a semblance of a life would be bored with this trolling and linking and posturing to their friends by now and would have moved on, but I guess for some the boredom threshold is very high. Either that, or this is all they've got to talk about.

What a sad thought.

I'm guessing that they got tired of discussing the books--to be perfectly catty, it's obvious most of them didn't get at least 85% of what they read, anyway. So they moved on to critiquing people who could discuss the books. I guess it makes them happy. Or something.

*Scratches head* Whatever floats their boats, but it seems like such a silly waste of time. I'd rather spend my time rereading the HP series for fresh insights, now that the last book's been written, not posting about people who are posting about the series. Oh well, let them lurk and troll to their little hearts' content. Small minds, small concerns.

It is a head scratcher....Oh, well. To each his/her own own. In some way--however it works out--it must make them some sort of happy.

And they're safely tucked behind a keyboard somewhere, rather than just being a creepy next door neighbor.

I wonder how they manage, considering LJ doesn't have a report button? And, how do you report people for having a discussion about a fictional character or, in the broadest of terms, about other people without naming names, or providing links? I can't even say 'Pot, meet Kettle" because the Kettle is in the clear, but I can and do say, for all the self-righteous throwing around of various 'isms', the irony of their own deeply held desire for complete censorship totally escapes them. This intolerance which has lead to cyberstalking is a lot more serious and disturbing than the various 'isms' they fling around, because it's directed at real people, not fictional characters.

There're a couple of regular readers of my LJ who never post anything there, but they check regularly--ones who I know can't stand my ideas....Apparently, they're into causing themselves agita. Which, of course, they're more than welcome to do to themselves, even if I can't quite understand why they'd bother to do so.

Severus, Severus, you're a regular rake
married on the astral plane, to Mary-Sue and Mary-Jane

Hola Brainiac, I suggest you cut the shit before I send your IP to Comcast with a letter of complaint.

Here on LJ you can also ban their IPs as "Spam."

And I think your average can of Spam has more brains. ;)

If these childish misfits ever gave a thought about these books, they might remember the other characters who were "Dead From Snake." For instance, poor Charity Burbage in DH and Frank Bryce in GoF. I know pity is not in the average Troll vocabulary, but Mr. Weasley was attacked by the same snake - remember? And then Harry was attacked by Nagini in Deathly Hallows, but he was lucky and Hermione saved his life, unlike Snape. So that's Mr. Weasley/Harry/Snape - all attacked by the snake. What is so damn funny about that, morons?

Love the spam icon! If the spam fits...

Of course that won't change any minds among the mindless, but it will be gratifying, nonetheless, when the reviews mention the reveal about Snape which will come as a surprise to no one who actually read the books. For everyone else, perhaps some smelling salts?

Oh dear. Perhaps a name change to Dead From Mistake?

"Dead from Mistake" *snort* I love it!
